Where should i put my adsence banner?

Hay, currently on my site i have one adsence banner at the top of the page, could anyone recomend the best place to put the adds to help increase clicks, but at the same time not make the site too add intense.

I personally think in between the nav bar and first category title on the right would be a good place.

yes thats where i currently have it, i see on some sites they have between the first post and second post what do you think about that as an idea?
