Been working on the theme for a few days now and I'm liking it. This is the PM popup if you didn't realise. ;)

Hm, is this inspired by the Facebook modal/popup by any chance...? I looked at that earlier - for Mootools - and it looks something like this, only in blue of course. I think it also exists for JQuery.
Nice popup all in all, I am going to use something similar in a theme project.
Femshep:
It's not directly inspired by Facebook, no. But indirectly in the sense that using Facebook so much has obviously left traces in my mind, if you follow. :P And yep, there are plugins for it, but I didn't use any of them for my version. I do include JQuery UI (at least for now), for the drag-and-drop stuff for example, though.

A better pop-up? I personally dislike having a pop-up notification unless they are deemed really necessary. Why do you need a pop-up when the notifications are there near the message button/menu? Besides, it's blocked by default in some browsers. Though may not be troublesome to allow pop-up either temporarily/permanently, i doubt many like it or need it that much.
Eliana Tamerin:
If you haven't used Facebook's, ahrasis, their "popups" don't actually open a new window. They appear within the website, in a frame/layer above the page using CSS/JS effects to make it look 'popped up'.
These aren't blocked by the browser, so some sites are using them for good things (and some for the evil ads we wanted to avoid in the first place).
