Theme : Saf-Multicolor, Default, Minerva
Language : French

Hi!
I've a problem with one of my forum :
1) As Guest, when I do a search with a keyword, it displays some messages from private boards
2) The post from private categories returned by the search didn't even contain the keyword...
3) It's the case also for connected members who can see messages from private sections (they should'nt see) using the search

What I did :
1) I uninstalled all mods : no effect
2) I checked the permission many many times but they are properly set
3) I tried to install a mod for search : SMF Search Enhancement Mod fixed the problem
4) I uninstall this mod : problem re-appear as I uninstall SMF Search Enhancement Mod

5) So I try to TRUNCATE these tables :
- smf_log_search_messages
- smf_log_search_results
- smf_log_search_subjects
- smf_log_search_topics
And it fixes the problem.

But for how many time?

Is this bug already reported?

No, it is not already reported. Thank you very much for the accurate description. I will try to replicate it on a fresh SMF install.

If you want, I can upload a dump of the tables smf_log_search_xxx before I truncated them (and also of other tables you want if you think it can helps)

This has actually been reported numerous times in the past, but I don't know if it has ever been properly investigated in order to find a cause/solution:

I would appreciate a database on which it can be replicated, if possible at all. I didn't manage to get it.
