404 - Attachment Not Found after server move
xtremecruiser:
SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2
I am getting "404 - Attachment Not Found" after a server move.
I have check the permissions, re UL'ed the files, made a new dir and UL the files again, changed the permissions, still most of the old UL attachments do not show.
All the new ones work fine.
I am using the Resample Big Attached Images mod.
I have searched and see that a few others have this issue.
Any ideas ?

Download the repair_settings.php from the downloadsection/Tools, upload it to the forum root folder, run the file from the browser and check that the new paths are correct.
Another way you can check the paths for the attacj, ents directory is through your SMF Admin panel.
Admin/Forum/Attachments and Avatars/ Check the path where it say "Attachments directory:"

Path is the same, same name, etc, new attachemnets work fine, just most of the old ones will not show up, even though the files are there. Same for UL avatars

I did a test forum, all new UL's, new DB Import, repairsettings to get the test forum to work.
Turned on attachments and all the new ones work fine, but all the older ones do not show, all I get is "404 - Attachment Not Found"
Setup the older server via IP addy and all the attachments work, and I can add new one too ?
Paths are the same on both servers, permissions are the same.
Any ideas ?
I am looking at 2 years worth of attachments, 300 megs that are dead links.
NEMINI:
when you have a 404 file not found error have you looked at the path and checked if the file exists where its looking?
