Newbie showing up under Administrator tag & Custom Title Question

(1/2) > >>

Krysia:
1. How can I remove the "Newbie" tag under Administrator (it appears to be related to post count)?

2. Membergroup colors not showing up in posts or on forum index.

3. How do I set permissions for custom titles?

Thank you! :)

1. This has been posted a zillion times, you can edit the Display template and make it not show it - I've posted the modification, but someone else can find it for you or you can use search...

2. It's not meant to, so I'm not surprised.  I find it very annoying and unprofessional to see yellow, green, etc. names in posts.

3. Go into permissions, "Edit custom title".

1. I did a search for this as I always do before posting a question in order to avoid the "this has been posted a zillion times" response, but clearly coming up with the term that brings results isn't as easy as some might think. I will attempt to edit the Display template and use the search. Thank you.

2. Then why have the options in the "edit membergroups" section at all? You might find it annoying and unprofessional to see various colors for various groups in posts, but others find it fun and use it as a quick way to identify the poster. I don't understand the purpose of having it available if it "isn't meant to".

3. As for setting permissions, I am extremely new at working with this forum and I don't understand the layout of the "manage permissions" section; I don't know how to work it. I am trying it now, and I think I figured something out.

1. Hmm, search is working for me:

2. No, it's for the "Who's Online" and "Users Online" sections.  It was never meant for the actual topics and posts.  It doesn't pretend to be meant for the topics and posts.

1. Well hell. Thank you. :) What keyword/phrase did you use because apparently I haven't a clue how to search for something. *flummuzzled*

2. Ah. Okay. That explains it. Thank you.
