i changed querystring.php to this:

   if ($scripturl == '' || !defined('SID'))
      return $buffer;

and it worked for me.

I would be surprised if the windows version of Apache supported this.  Part of why I was against this feature.

The 404 is your browser's fault, and nothing SMF can fix.
