 Hi all,
   I am very new to all this.....
   I have installed SMF 2.0.2
I am starting a site with the the default theme......
I want to ad a gif as my header image...... full page width......

I am looking for a mod that I can download/install automatically  directly to my site ...because I dont know code at all.....
 
also looking for a mod that works with 2.0.2 that will allow me to run ads from google.......
which will also download/install automatically to my site........

any help would be great......

Have you tried going to Admin>Current theme and adding the logo URL in the box labelled... er... "Logo image URL:"? ;)

With 2.0.2 there are two ways the banner can be added to your theme.

Firstly do you have an account such as photobucket?

If so the image can be added to your forum via the admin by

Admin  > Configuration Themes and Layout >Theme Settings > Logo image URL:
(leave blank to show forum name or default logo.)

Wow you guys are fast....... that is very cool......
first off I will reply to K@.......... yes I did that and it doesn't show though I may have the path wrong......

 Old fossil...... I am going to try that now..... I don't have a photo bucket account so I guess I need to start one......

I will try it ....... and see what happens...... and come back and let you know...

You might find it best to put the image into the root of your own site. Then, if Photobucket, or whatever, has hassles, you won't. ;)
