putty and localhost

I can't get in to localhost with putty I get ...

Network error: connection refused

Any ideas?

do you have a SSH/FTP/Telnet/etc server running?
Are you connecting to the proper port with the proper protocol?

Well you need to make sure SSH or telnet is enabled if you want to putty into it

Yeah not sure why I said FTP earlier since Putty doesn't do that protocol
