Hello guys, i'm trying to integrate my web and the forum, i have a geolocalization script and i wonder how can i force inside SII.php and index.php aswell to force a language

That's not a particularly good idea. Apart from the fact that geolocalisation is not a precise science to do from IP address, it is only going to get less and less efficient/accurate over time.

And the kicker? What about places like Quebec, that are both English and French? Which should it pick then?

Why not give the user the choice what language they want to use? Better still, do you actually need multiple languages around? No point getting into the mess that is other languages + mods with languages you don't need to have around.

You have some good points, but i'm affraid to force users to register in english, hope they will understand all fields, email confirmation and that,  also maybe i will loose a lot of clients because they think it's only in english, maybe the geolocation can be made only with guest users until they get an account

I wouldn't say that's been a problem here given all the different languages - perhaps try the language selection mod (the same one that's installed here) which will let them select the language before they try to register.

The other question, again: do you *really* need an international audience? Do you have moderators that speak every language? If not, you have no way to meaningfully police the posts that come in and that can actually be more off-putting than having everything in English (or at least whatever language is best suited to your community)

Thanks Arantor, I am grateful for your advice but as i said i need to force the language, i will use geoip and browser language aswell for guest users, i have 4 different languages support at now and  i hope i will get russian and german soon, i know the problems but i'll be glad to bring off  60%-70% of new visits will get whole site in their native lang automatically
