Ignore member function not working for PMs

This one member is reporting that she used the private message ignore function on another member and that other member is still able to message her. What would be a way to fix this? I consider it kind of serious.

It's a known bug in your SMF version. This may seriously bum you out, but no one wanted to fix it when it came up before, solely because it was fixed in RC4. I think one member even left SMF over it!

Couldn't we do a diff between RC3 and RC4 to find out what was changed?

(Or, someone takes the time to do a hot patch up to 2.0 final)
