Trying to save plaintext password in database

Hey Everyone. I hope someone can point me in the right direction here.

I know it's EXTREMELY bad security habbit, but for what I'm doing and playing around with right now, I'm trying to save the plain text password in a database when I login. My user account is already registered, it's when I use the front form to login that I want to "intercept" the password.

Is this even possible? I've tried tinkering with the login2 function in LogInOut.php and using the $_POST['passwrd'] variable with no success. Any thoughts would be awesome.
