While HTML Goodies is undoubtedly a popular site, IMHO it's not a good one because it leans towards presentational rather than logical markup from the outset.
So what are the first three tags it teaches? <b>, <i> and <tt>! Followed by <hr>, <br> and an incorrect explanation of <p> (so, no, it's not the same as <br> but skipping a line!)...
