Using SMF as Marketplace..
« on: August 02, 2012, 08:10:24 AM »
Hi guys,

I'm using simple machines forum to run a game marketplace, i've got a question though, i've seen an SMF which as paper doll avatars which allows customization of avatars (hair, eyes, clothes, etc) And a shop which lets you buy clothing and items for your character.. I've been looking everywhere for plugins which can help my forum..

Do these mods/plugins exist?
- Items (just 2-D items people can store in there inventory
- Point system / gold system - a system that allows a currency based on your forum, you can use the currency to buy/sell/trade items or services
- Store place to spend your points or possibly open your own..

I'm not trying to make my own "game" but these features i've seen used on SMF forums could really aid my website and make it more user friendly..

I don't want to post the link to the website with these features but it's called avi - life (the forum) has many of these features, it might be custom and i'd be sol

thanks

I don't think that I have ever actually seen that mod...   so it's likely that was some sort of custom functionality that was developed solely for the site that you saw it on.   You could always go ask the admin of that site what he used....
Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support forums.  Thank you.
