New avatars won't show up :(

Hey guys,

I uploaded a folder filled with misc. avatars to the avatar directory. However for some reason they are not showing up when you go to the "forum profile settings." The folder is chmodded with read rights, so I'm not quite sure why this is happening. On my testing forums, i uploaded it exactly the same was i did to my real forums, and it worked on the test forums. I may have overlooked something, not sure. I really appreciate some feedback on this. any suggestions?

Has the folder also execution rights? These are also needed.

Hey Andrea,

Yes, actually the whole avatars directory and all files within are chmod'ed to 777. The folder name is "Misc". I'm not sure if this might have something to do with it, but this is what happened lately. A few days ago i had a problem with the database, and so i ran upgrade.php as per unknown's advice. The board was fixed, but now i still can't see the avatar folder i uploaded (Misc.).

Directory /public_html/forums/avatars successfully chmodded to 777.
Directory /public_html/forums/avatars/Misc successfully chmodded to 777.
Directory /public_html/forums/avatars/Musicians successfully chmodded to 777.

I just went in and created a "testfolder" in the "avatars" directory, and put an image in there to test it. CHModded the folder to 777 and the image to 744 (permissions don't reallly need to be that high for an image...), and it showed up just fine...

Are you sure theirs images their, and that their is an index file?
