Prb with posts displayed in wrong topics

Hi all,

First of all, sorry for my poor english, hope it won't be a pain to solve my problem  :-\

I am using SMF 2.0.2.

What's my problem ?

Sometimes (often...), some posts are displayed in wrong topics.
Don't know why and you imagine the problem when you're answering to a post and your answer appears in another topics !
It's a mess...

I'm searching for a long time for a solution but I didn't find anything...

Anyone has a magical solution ?

Yep, that's what I'm talking about :)

Although I don't see any mods that could affect the display of topics...
Can you attach your "Display.php" found in the "Sources" directory, here, in your next post?

The Display.php~ is a backup file :)

Take your time, this problem is lasting for a long time

It's an old forum, lot of modifications, smf installed in 2007 etc...
sure there is a lot of mess there

edit : and migration from ipb to smf

Have you tried to use the maintenance task "Find and repair any errors"? (go to admin > maintenance > forum maintenance > routine)

I tried every maintenance admin tools with no success  :-[

I think it's perhaps a prb between ids from ipb and ids from smf (migration a few years ago) but I'm not sure at all

it's only with new posts, not with old ones

so you write a post in a topic and instead of appearing in this topic, it goes elsewhere...

I feel it has something to do with a wrong id_topic or id_last_msg/id_first_msg (or id_board) somewhere, but to be sure a script to check these things is necessary.

Have you tried re-installing SMF? This is most likely not a bug with the default installation and something happened when trying to install or when you installed customizations.
