trying to upgrade from 1.1.16 to 2.02

Ok so i followed all the instructions and the problem i'm having is this, as i get to the SMF upgrade utility page, all is set including FTP passwords, but the process does not begin as i click connect. then where is says this "The upgrader can fix any issues with file permissions to make upgrading as simple as possible. Simply enter your connection information below or alternatively click here for a list of files which need to be changed." i click it and this message shows, "/home/mitsuc5/public_html/Settings_bak.php". now i tried to look for this file in my directory and it's no where to be found. please help. what did i do wrong. i'm new to this kind of stuff so please be patient with me. thanks in advanced.

Try to make a copy of Settings.php and name the copy Settings_bak.php. Do NOT rename the original Settings.php or the whole forum will die!
