About my SMF fork (yes, another one)

That was mostly a joke. I was exaggerating, as I said. I wasn't around when 2.0 was first being discussed either so I really have no idea how that in particular worked out. The poll thing was just a reference to the past and an on-going poll-thingy back then :P
That said, my idea of working alone still stands.

GravuTrad:
I don't think dev team use polls (to other teams and for them) to choose their dev method.
Maybe for features (adds etc..), but for core and etc..i don't believe so. It's more a speak between them. Maybe antechinus or Norv could speak about it...

But a good dev team works in hands together and only between them. Others teams can participate to debugging and improving, but not for the big dev part, it can make problems if too many people with not the same point of view work together.

I think the hardest thing is this "same point of view" part of course...(like all projects)

And so it's for me a too much easier way to choose the "personal" work like method...

Happy to see forks, but happier to see an increase of the smf dev team...(and with persons with the same point of view...)

I would just like to see SMF on something like github where anybody could submit code updates that would speed up the development a lot.

GravuTrad:
Github is in the dev plans i believe. But maybe not in access to all...

I would as well. I know it has been discussed and tossed around.
