This tip explains how to perform this:

I think the 'Latest Member' should not display newly registered members that are still awaiting for approval, since they're not 'official' forum members yet -they have to be approved by an admin first-

I tried uploading it as a zip and installing it. Didnt work. Maybe I did something wrong. I just renamed it.

Same here (only I first unpacked it), I'm afraid. It still displays the latest applicant (not approved yet).

You shouldn't have to unzip it.... just upload it to Packages and install it... does it say it installed successfully?

it will work once you clear out your pending "too be approved" List.
