On most sites you can copy a link and paste it into facebook and a little picture and the first few lines show up. Is there a way to do this with SMF?
I heard there was something I could change in the header?

I don't want the share mod for numerous reasons.

the picture is auto-grabbed, by facebook, from images on the page.

the excerpt is usually grabbed from the metatag description (I think) or maybe from H1 and p tags...

I think that you can define/force some of this using the og: tags...

Put this with your meta tags in the head of your forum. Image 200x200 works perfect.

IS there a way I can get it to pick up the image in the forum? Ive tried every which way to no avail

No...  because SMF obfuscates the files of attachments...
