dns problem (solved)

Is this problem familiar to anybody else?

Some months ago I registered a new domain with namecheap.com, it was redirected to some other url for a while. Now I purchased a host for this domain and changed the dns settings. This change was made last monday. Now 3 days after the new dns is still not propagated. Do I have to wait one more day? My suspicion is that the old (url redirection) dns settings in the registrars control panel have somehow not entirely be cleared out...

I'm not sure this will help.. but I seemed to have the same problem... when it turned out the new dns servers weren't set up properly..

Thanks alienine, were the new dns server not setup properly at namecheaps side or at hosts side? What exactly did you to solve the problem?

Give it another day or get someone else to check the URL as well. It might have changed for someone else but still waiting for your ISP to update.

it turned out to be the webhost... it was my fault as I should have spotted the fact straight away when I didn't get a confirmation email..

this was for someone elses site though so I never really found out what happened...
