really? rotfl.... censorship? Methinks you might want to actually look up the definition of that word.
Anyway...

although it has not been updated for 2.0 final..
(oh, and I'm not a developer)

Another way you can use without having to install mod is to use a redirect, in particular:
0) create the board and set it visible to the groups you want to be able to enter that board,
1) create a redirect to the non-accessible board visible to the groups that cannot access the board, but *not* visible to the groups that can access the board,
that way the users that have access to the board will see the board and only the "real" board, all the others will see the redirect and not the board and when they click on it they will be presented with the message "you don't have access" (or whatever it is).

I have a "View Only Board" board set up for the appliance repair technicians on our site.
The board is called "Let's Talk Service" and only members in our "Technician" group have access, but I wanted all members to be able to see that the board was there so new technicians to our site would see it and maybe want to join.
It seem to work out good for us.
It's a place for us to talk shop and business.
Probably all boring topics to the average joe that's just looking for some help to repair their appliance, but it helps keep the techs coming back to our site and it's the techs that help answer the other appliance repair questions that get posted in our forum.
Makes it kind of a win win for all of us.

Maybe censorship is a poor choice of words, more like a restriction that is based on personal opinion. Either way it is something that has been requested often. Of course I have no development time invested so I realize asking for a mod is not a community development objective, however I still would like to see it and don't mind paying for it.
The problem with the existing mod as I understand is that anyone can access any board from the latest post list in 2.0. My hosting service (Netfirms) is telling me I have to update to 2.02 to better my load performance.
