Virginity

With all of the opinoins on abortion I was wondering what people thought of pre-martial sex. When does someone lose their virginity? Is a woman still a virgin if she only gives oral sex? What is the period of adulthood (i am assuming no one thinks children should be having sex) when someone is ready for sex?

David:
Giving or recieving oral sex does not constitute losing your virginity in my book.

To quote Sex for Dummies... "Step 1: Insert Tab A into Slot B."  Oh wait... or was that the assembly instructions for something I bought at Ikea?  :D
[Optional Steps: Tab A may also be inserted into Slot A and, in some cases, Slot C]

Yes... for the time being... ;)

I don't believe there is some magical age when... BAM... you are now mature enough to have sex.  If one were to take the stance that sex is *ONLY* for procreation... then one could assume that as soon as the body is physically capable of producing a child, sex would be fine.  However, that would be at like age 13 and most people find that to be a bit unacceptable.  If we don't base the appropriate time by physical ability, then it would leave mental ability... meaning when a person is emotionally capable of dealing with sex.  However, that could be never for a lot of people.  I've know some "kids" that had a better handle on relationships and sex than some adults do.  I don't know about elsewhere, but in the States, people have decided that the magic number falls somewhere between 16 and 18 (there is sort of a gray area there).

Personally, I really don't care if two similarly aged teenagers feel like getting their groove on... as long as they are protecting themselves.

I want to clarify:
What is the period of adulthood (i am assuming no one thinks children should be having sex) when someone is ready for sex?
Is not asking how old someone should be. I am asking if there is a point in ones life (ie perhaps they have the ability to care for a child, or marriage... ) that it is ok to engage in fornication.
