Piracy Hurts Everyone - huh?

Les Mackenzie:
Okay, another rant so to speak...

I went to see "Revolutions" last night and at the beginning of the movie was an advertisement telling people they shouldn't download movies they should pay the $12+ to see them in the theatre (not including the over-priced popcorn and everything else for that matter).

Wasn't I there to watch the movie?  Does anyone else see the irony in this ad?  Wouldn't that add work better displayed on a different medium (Internet, TV, Bumper Sticker?)

I still can't get over the UK version of this kind of thing on DVD's ... where they show a 'pirate' as a half naked fat ass guy, painted red, with horns, showing his white teeths whilst making faces, stirring a pot. There's all this fire everywhere, and his eyes have an 'evil' glow...

In regards to your experience... I don't think their marketing departments know what the internet is... well maybe just that it is "an evil entity that eats some of their 'oh so hard earned' profits". They're out of touch... and they're unattractive, wrinkly, old, greedy men with mental disorders.

Shadow:
They play that before any movie now days... makes me want to bring my video camera...
