Arantor:
So you're snarking at me for making a blanket statement, even though I'm fully aware of the consequences of that advice because you didn't read the rest of my comments in this very thread about everything else where I specifically advocated 755?

I object to people preaching advice that's inaccurate too, and right now I'm looking at your statements: something being 755 is 'safer'... that's a blanket statement about how things will be more secure. Except it probably won't be accurate. It's no more use to tell people that then it is to tell them that 777 is insecure - in BOTH CASES the same thing is vulnerable: files writable by the web server. You're still missing how many files are actually OWNED BY THE WEBSERVER such that even 444 is no real defence (as most hacking scripts do attempt to chmod files first anyway)

plz dont fight. suggest me about my forum www.engrz.com

Storman™:
engrz - this board is really for support, and not for reviews and suggestions.

Maybe post in the Showcase section and ask what people think there.
