Charter Membership Question

If I became a charter member now, would I be able to download whatever SMF version is out (example: like this one)? Or would I have to wait for the beta version anyway?

You would get the versions before everyone else...there isn't a release yet available right now, but it's 'rumored' to be coming out reasonably soon to charter members. 

There are tips and code excerpts you'd have access to now that the general public does not.

Yes they do, and they know when the first one will be coming: we announced the target release date about a month ago.
