Individual Permission

FrizzleFried:
Anyone know of a mod that allows this? The problem is that my site uses post count based membergroups... and assigning this guy to a special group would be an issue.
Arantor:
Why would it be an issue exactly?
It's really simple: create a new group, that group has deny permissions set. (Deny permissions are disabled by default, enable them in Admin > Members > Permissions > Settings)
Add this group to the user as a secondary group. Now it doesn't matter a fetid dingo's kidneys what permissions he has from any other group, he won't have those permissions that are denied by the extra group.

Assigning a secondary group gives them that secondary group membergroup name... my forum is set up the most posts you have "higher" membergroup you get... each with a custom image associated with the membergroup (in place of the silly "blob" stock SMF uses). If I assign him a secondary group THAT groups image/graphic is displayed not the one he earned by posting...
I have a few custom secondary groups now (douchebag of the week, quote hack of the week, etc) that are given out manually... but each has it's own graphic and it does replace the primary group...unfortunately.
nend:
Secondary groups are usually invisible unless you did something to your forum to make them visible. The primary group is where all the information comes from. ;)
