[Free] vBulletin Mod points system
Arantor:
Yes, and as already stated there is one that's paid.
I don't think you're understanding me: I'd love to see one too, but that doesn't solve who's going to sit down and spend a lot of hours making it. I've got the skill, don't have the time, so until someone who does have both the skill and time and desire to do so, it isn't going to happen.
And just saying 'I'd love this' doesn't help because what can happen (and has happened to me with paying clients!) is where I've built them something that exactly meets what they ask for, but it isn't what they wanted.
Let me say it again: you're hoping someone is going to spend hours of THEIR free time to make something for you so you don't have to pay or learn how to do it yourself and you apparently don't even want to spend any time following the help in this board? Don't be surprised if no-one can be bothered.

Sonic, you aren't doing a good job of even explaining what you are hoping to be achieved.
I'm familiar with vbulletin 3.8. There are two default systems in there allowing members to have visible rankings.
One is a simple post count ranking which shows pips (the image can be replaced with something else of your choosing). SMF has a similar system available if you create some postcount based groups. Indeed that's how the ranking system used on my SMF forum works.
The second main system is called reputation. That allows other forum users to give a green or red comment to a post, the author sees the comment, and depending on the comment giver's standing on the forum they also receive points. The authors total reputation is displayed to all as a series of pips. SMF does I believe do something similar with it's Karma feature.
Neither system is perfect. Postcount ranks don't indicate quality, just a level of activity. Reputation ends up being given and received by only a small number of users and in turn often good posts don't get acknowledged, and some members end up with a higher reputation than their real usefulness to a forum.

Now that movedgoalposts explained it I can ask: something like this?
Mister X:
Well you might as well mark topic as solved then :).
