app to batch-rename files

this program, "the renamer program", is what i use.  it can add numbering, but i don't know about replacing the entire filename, so you'll have to check it out and play around with it :)

is that program you used freeware?

no kidding!!? and you're telling me that now? ;D I'll have a look at that than, cause i use ACDSee already for organizing my media.... strange i never noticed such a feature...

anyway, i found this one in the mean time, it's freeware and works great:

lol, ACDSee has a perfect batch rename function ;)

you can even insert dozens of exif metadata templates...

lol, i had the same reaction when i heard about the feature
had been using acdsee for long and i didnt even realize that :P
