Packages messing up?

Hey guys whenever i install a package in smf 2, it dosen't let me install it cuz it says the package directory or something in it is not writable and all the files in there are writable.

SwapsRulez:
make the Packages director writable from your Cpanel or FTP. Give them writable access. Make sure you've installed the things as per the Documentation about the installation of SMF.

Hello zombozo3eyes, have you managed to fix the issue? Have you tried the suggestion by SwapsRulez?

No and yes, does it have something to do with a php safe mode on?

Which package are you trying to install?

Have you tried uploading the package to the Packages directory via FTP? After that, the package should be listed in Package Manager and available for installation.
