This is fantastic, I'm going to have a play. I really miss the functionality of this fro the old 1.xxx.

My small brain might beg for help to get it to work for custom theme..

As long as you make the edits for custom theme's BoardIndex.template.php file , the images upload for one theme, and change it for all themes.  Very simple.

not sure what I have to change in L68.
