The verification on the first 10 posts was pretty annoying but is a great deterrent against spambots. Just got to figure a way to have it on my site and alert new users so it doesn't keep them away.
Maybe somehow decreasing the number of needed posts.

It's provided in 2.0 as a default feature.

Right right, I guess I misworded the phrase. I meant to say figure out a way to alert users when they sign up that it's going to ask verification for "x" number of posts so they don't think that verification will be needed for ever and discouraging them to comeback.

Add it to your registration agreement - just add a line to agreement.txt in the top of the forum.
