Senate passes 'partial birth' abortion ban

Aquilo:
OK I had to ask, I'm a harm none, womans rights - everyones rights for that matter person but if a woman carries a baby to a term where it's bones and organs are formed it's a baby give it up for adoption.

when I first saw the head line I first thought of all the teenage girls that will go to the old back alie butchers and risk dieing, but then reading the story I would have to say this might just right to pass, becouse this is so sad:

--- Quote ---During the procedure, known to doctors as intact dilation and extraction, the fetus is partially removed and its skull collapsed.
--- End quote ---

Eddy:
thats not right

Bouminok:
Isn't it 24 weeks or something like that normally that a woman can go without having an abortion or something in the UK?

I think whilst a baby or fetus is still in the womb its the woman's choice whether she has it or not.

Shadow:
A great day indeed. Now we need to press on further and outlaw abortion entirely. Nothing else turns into a human, nothing. For anyone to believe that a fetus is not a human and thus not granted basic human rights is horrible. May as well just kill people on life support, same thing.

Note: If what I said does indeed offend anyone, I'll edit it out.

Eddy:
i think so. i think they've got it right at the moment until the baby developes bones and can breathe on its own. then again i'm a man and apparently i don't 'have a clue'
