Ups. Was that an english lapsus? Can "find" not be used in this way:
"The jury found the man guilty."
-> "The jury found the silver gray buttons awful." :)
If not I will of course change the subject text asap...
Re. download of these buttons: dont know if I still have these buttons, these was the 1st set which I created myself. Those are created in the old way hence need to much time to be entertained or translated. They have the further disadvantage that they need to be antialiased to the precise background color to look well. In the meantime I have made different buttons for the forum they originally were made for...
Tyris:
I think technically 'find' can be used in that way... because it rarely is (in that precise context) it sounds a bit odd....
like "how do you find the quality of these buttons" or something would make more sense because its more specific... but as far as using the word 'find'... I think its ok...
'find' is usually associated with discovering a fact I think... so you can 'find someone guilty' ... but for a opinionated question it doesn't quite sound right, because there is no correct answer...
andrea:
Ok subject text changed. Thx for the heads up.
Tyris:
heheh, thats assuming my knowledge is correct... hmm... I'll get back to you when I get my english results for final exam ;)
Bouminok:
I think "how do you find them" seemed alright, just perhaps slightly proper Victorian English, rather than today's.
