blank pages on forum

it seems that each time i try to access the forum i recieve a blank page plain white view source shows no code firebug shows no errors.

Now it does work SOMETIMES i counted about 4 out of 10 refreshes it deisplays the page, but even if it should display a page, once it goes to index.php?do=login its blank aain and the form never submits. but on the off chance you DO get logged in, the issue is gone. poof. all pages work just fine no white pages.

any ideas? i only had a few mods installed but i removed them all which did not fix the issue.

I'm not saying this is a solution to your problem but in the recent past, when this issue has arisen, it has often been cured by tickling the checkbox named "Disable hostname lookups" in:

Admin > Configuration > Server Settings > General


Give that a whirl and report back  8)

Thank You this seems to work perfectly! perhaps someone can make  this sticky for a while in case others have this issue as well :)
