User shown twice in "Who's online"

I noted that an user is shown twice in "Who's Online". He says he's opened only one browser... What can be the cause?

Does this happen on the default theme?
Mods using?
Errors in the log?

It happens with outline theme. No errors in log. It`s the first time I`ve seen it happening. I have only one mod: internal links use the same window...I think the bug has something to do with the db...

Let's try kicking everyone off the forum. Make sure you don't do this when there are a lot of members online (or maybe none at all) since this will log them off.

Go into phpMyAdmin and click on your database. Then click on the SQL tab and copy paste the following code and run it:

TRUNCATE smf_sessions;
TRUNCATE smf_log_online;
Now monitor it and see if that user account still shows up twice.

I don't understand - does the solution proposed abve solve the problem permanently or just resolves it once until it happens again...

It's just to see if it solves the problem. If it does, cool, if it doesn't, it could provide an idea of what's happening, so do it ;)

Did you try the solution provided by Greyknight17, and if so has it occurred again since?  Did the person change their username, log in and out quickly or anything like that?  Was it only one person?
