Changing Usernames Bug???

SMF RC1.

Tonight I had a user(Louise) ask me to change there account name to the same name as there display name.....

Account Name :    Louise
Display Name :    Louby Loo

I checked that we had no users with the account name 'Louby Loo' and then went to the Louise's profile to adjust her account name.

When I tried to change it to Louby Loo, SMF through out an error saying that a user with the name Louby Loo already existed.

So I changed the display name of Louise to Louby Loo1

And then retried changing the account name - It went through fine then!

So then I went back and adjusted the display name.

I guess that its good that it compares display names as well as account names - however, should it not realise that the display name that is confilicting is that actual profile you are changing?

we can't change.

Because it's annoying when people change their name every 5 minutes. Also - this isn't related to the bug. The bug relates to when the admin changes a users username (login name), which was almost certainly caused by me I'm afraid :(

Chram Grudge, But your final lines could not be undersood at all, those were your bugs created.
