Nasty upgade error
(1/1)
Topspliff:
I ran the upgrade about a week ago, with no apparent problems.
However I have just visited my site, without logging in, if I click on a members profile, at the top of the page I get this
Notice: Undefined index: profile_areas in /homepages/26/d73993254/htdocs/plant/Sources/Profile.php on line 226
Notice: Undefined index: profile_areas in /homepages/26/d73993254/htdocs/plant/Sources/Profile.php on line 226
The fact that it appears twice is strange, more is strange, is if log in, click on a members profile, everything is fine, it`s only if a non logged in member, clicks on a profile, that the error shows.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hmm, for some reason I consider "nasty errors" to be ones that make your forum go out the window :P.
Just so you know, YaBB SE would have generated more than a few of these on every click, if it didn't tell PHP to shut up about errors and coding mistakes. SMF doesn't need to do that - usually.
There's a fix for this already posted somewhere - you can find it if you search for "profile_areas" methinks.

The few, the proud, the boards that use E_ALL. ;)
SMF is one of the few that can get away with E_ALL.
