Paste Screenshot?

It would be great if you could simply paste a screenshot from the clipboard into a post?

I know I can Insert Image (point to a URL)...  but I'm looking for a way to make it as simple as possible for people to post images.

I have seen other forums that allow this... somehow (HP Printer Support among others).   

In SMF I noticed that I can paste an image in my new post... I can see it...  but then when I try to Submit... it doesn't know what to do with the image.

The Admin could setup a repository so the storage location would be identified behind the scenes.

ummm....   I don't think that really works.  Pasted images into a forum post don't actually exist. That's why the implementation uses the IMG tags.

There are mods which allow you to upload an image directly to either a gallery (on site or offsite) and/or to automatically include attached images inline.   That's about the best that can be done with the current technology.

Old Fossil:
On your own forum a mod such as Aeva media can be used.
