Redirect guest to registration/login when they try to reply to a topic

I want to redirect guest to registration/login when they try to reply to a topic. Can someone build a mod to do that.

Er... Unless it's enabled, a guest won't even see a "Reply" button.

So, that mod'll probably be best. :)

Thank you all for the quick reply. I want the "Reply" button to be shown to the Guest, but when they click to reply, they will be asked to register, before they can post reply. Hope that makes sense.

Have you searched the mod site, to see if such a mod exists, already?

If you have and there isn't, I wish you luck in finding someone who can help you.

Although, I would imagine (I'm no coder. So, this could be rubbish!) that it wouldn't take a lot of editing to make the current setup do that, incorporating the mod that TrickyRicky linked to.

Something like:

If clicker=guest then go to mod
else post

(I told you I was no coder) ;)

But, I wonder if posting in the Coding Discussion board might be better, for this.

Maybe a post, there, saying "Can this be coded easily?" with a link to this topic?
