[Accepted] Recovering password
« on: August 06, 2003, 04:32:47 PM »
my forum has many folks who are newbie to internet and they are new to such things as forum and how exactly it works, so I've few issues when people doesn't know that they could retrive password(I solve this problem by sending newsletter which explain how to use some functions of the forum and I didn't get any questions about passwords anymore but it could be helpful for other communities) if forgot it because it's appear only if click login button but most of people try to login (if I understand them correctly) not using this button but form in the bottom of screen. So here is my proposition, if someone failed to login bring him dialog for recover password. And probably put small button in the bottom of screen just under login form which will lead to recove function. What do you think about this?

Added this tonight to the CVS, admin can specify number of fails before sending the user to the forgot password screen.
