The list of links there hasn't changed. Can you add a couple of news items to the board where you're picking them up from to make the homepage list update?
I'm sure it's got rat all to do with it, but I figured it's worth a try before we recommend you to the Simple Portal support forum.

all the link in News and newspaper are automatically inside the block

Simple Portal ,. i created a new Block , choose News but i am using the "news and Newspaper" section on my SMF to add all codes. what will i do????

sorry but this makes no sense to me at all. what is "news and Newspaper"? what type of block are you using? is it a standard SimplePortal block or something handcoded?

A quick look into PortalBlocks.php (sp_boardNews) shows a case where a pair of breaks (<br />< br />) are appended to news items in certain circumstances.
Taking them out (or reducing it to a single break) would be a doddle but I'd rather refer you to the Simple Portal support forums for a resolution.

yes it's a standard simple portal block. that is where im adding the code that appear as featured post
