Cant access admin page

I have just installed Simplemachines forum 2.02. I log in as admin, to set up for the first time, and my name shows in red (which I believe indicates admin?) but every time I click the admin tab it asks for my username and password again , when I do that it goes round in a circle back to the home page. I click admin, it asks for the login details again and starts all over again. I have searched for an answer in FAQ's etc but no luck.

I installed via CPanel using Fantastico.

Would really apreciate some help

That could be your problem, right there, I'm afraid.

It's nowhere near as difficult as it looks.

It's so easy, in fact, than even I can do it!!! :)
