Post Counts and Member Counts Didnt Change After Deleting Some Posts and Members
(1/1)
poojim:
Hello!
I was wondering how to reset or change the number of post counts and post members on my forum. I deleted a number of spam posts and spam members on my forum but I wonder why the post count didnt change. I used phpmyadmin to do that. The tables that I lessened the contents are smf_messages and smf_members (well, not exactly the "smf_" prefix)...
Could it be because of the recycle bin? If that's the case where can I see this recycle bin? (Haven't explored these things yet)
Any idea?
Kindred:
well, if you deleted directly from phpmyadmin, then you may have caused some disconnect issues.
Use the SMF Admin tools to delete posts and members.
Since you seem to have bypassed the tools
go to SMF admin, under maintenance > forum maintenance > routine
click Find and repair any errors
then click Recount all forum totals and statistics

Thank You! Didn't thought it's that easy.
But I think there's another problem:
Post counts of my profile page did not recount.
I think I saw a mod for this but are there any other ways?
Kermit:
If recount operation from maintenance didn't help, yes you might need an alternative as a modification
Any chance you have installed a mod like this ?

It's very odd but I have had the same result.
I've tried all the maintenance tools, including the database ones also, but still the member post counts stay the same.
I don't have that mod installed
