Hey SMF Coders,

Today I'm looking for a mod, that would allow people to add their STEAM_ID to their profile.  I would like this to be run through the Steam API, like such:

User is on register page
"ooh look! Connect with STEAM!" *click*
--> Opens a popup page that asks them to log into steam
--> Get their STEAM_0:[0/1]:123123123 ID
--> Insert that to a column on their user when they register
--> Never let them change it again

User who DIDNT connect when they registered
Oooh look! Connect with STEAM!  *click*
--> Same Deal

One of my vBulletin friends told me there is a mod on vB which does this, called Steam Connect

There's this plugin, but you have to manually edit it to work with 2.0.2. I have it on my forum, works great:

I can't give you the modified version, I was already warned once because I wanted to fork a mod that didn't work anymore :(
