Can 2.1 have quick reply as 'show, on by default' as the default in a new install please, rather than the 'show, off by default' as has been the (poor) default for years?

Aside from having to deal with the nuclear c-f that is Github in general, that would cause some conflicts of interest (providing support is one thing, contributing direct code to two competing projects on the other hand...)

Heh, true enough.

Mind you, even if ethics and integrity weren't an issue, the comments from a recent commit (which weren't even from me, though I agreed with most of them) that was branded as 'pedantic BS from Arantor' has kind of soured the idea in any case.

I never use quick reply, because I don't like it, but it's a useful enough feature for many to enable by default.
