I want to help.

AngelinaBelle:
Thanks.

The problem with wiki translation is that, when the "base" version changes, there is no tracking, no notification.
The translate extension provides this.  And also, it allows us to split the documentation into "strings", like the language strings used in the SMF 1.1.x help tab was split into language strings in the language editor.

These are the ways the translate extension makes life easier, and why I would wish to use it for everything.
The only reason we do not use it for everything is that it has problems.  It makes it far too difficult. And we know that, in the future, if the software is fixed, it will be difficult to convert files to work again with it.  Trouble all around!

Depending on your skill learning this infernal wiki, we might ask your help in various ways to make things better for all translators.
In the mean time, please do ask Dzonny to set you up as a translator, for using the wiki translate extension. Then you can enjoy seeing the problems I have mentioned.

Again, thank you for your willingness to persevere.

Kioreker:
I'm sorry for the late reply.

You are totally right, I forgot that one objective of the tools/resources like a "wiki" is "allow an easy use for all persons" and today in this wiki this condition doesn't comply.

I want to tell you that I have translated other section to "Spanish" language, I am talking about "Using SMF - As a moderator".
(below is the image as an attachment)

Now, I will translate the section "As an admin". It is the largest section but it will be ready in some weeks.

After that, I want to study the operation of the SMF wiki and (if you allow me) I will help to find the problem and I will try to solve it as much as possible.  I study a career related to computer sciences and I hope I can help.

*I have tried the alpha version of SMF 2.1, looks very good.

:D

AngelinaBelle:
Thank you for your work translating.  As long as you are working closely with Dzonny, this will come out great.

If you are interested in improving the wiki software, the SMF team will really appreciate it.
The best way to begin, I think will be to install SMF, the wiki software, and the SMF <-> wiki bridge.
So much the better if you can test using nginx as the webserver, as has been done here.

After that, you should be able to install the translate extension and test it out.

It may be that everything will work just fine on the day that we are able to upgrade our wiki to the latest ersion, and the translate extension as well.  But I simply do not know.

Thank you for your interest in improving the online documentation.
