Samsung Galaxy S2 LCD screen broken

Today, I was travelling in the bus and was sitting freely where the phone get scratched or hit by anything what so ever. I generally check my phone every 15-20 minutes for notifications or missed calls. So, I did the same and suddenly I see my S2's inner screen cracked! I have a frigging DOUBLE case to protect it from any shocks and scratches. Even a knife can not penetrate my case! In addition to that, I have a screen protector added very neatly.
My plan is to go around mobile shops in my locality tomorrow to ask for prices to fix my screen asap as the incident happened in the eve and the shops here generally close down by 5:00 PM. While I am unaware of what are the general prices for such a fix, I require your assistance and experiences with such problems. I did read through a few forums who have had users with such issues and there is not a specific price that I could rely on it seems.
I would have tried to do it myself, but t-mobile uk only covers the software issues and not quite the hardware part of it. I may go to my bank and claim insurance there if it is expensive.
Any other options?

Went to the t-mobile outlet and asked them about it. They said that they will deal with it only if it is a software issue and not a hardware one. The whole process of me sending off the phone, them doing a diagnostics and then reporting the issue to me takes over 14 working days. In addition to that, if I agree to let them fix it, then they will taken another 14 days to do so.
From the various mobile phone shops, the minimum quote received to fix this is £130 and the max was £180. (Out of 8 shops that I asked)
After insisting a lot to give me a rough idea of how much it will cost me, the person goes that it will be roughly the same.
I have a gadget insurance with an excess of £35. Maybe that will come handy this time. Damn these SII screens are bloody expensive!
