Sticky New Topic

I've done a search, so I apologize in advance if someone's already made this request.  However, I think a great feature would be an additional option checkbox to sticky a topic after posting.

There is, but only if you have permission to do so.

Assuming you have permission to make a topic sticky, its in the additional options menu
