HELP Facebook integration - simple questions!

 ???

Hi,  I'm one of two admins on a forum in the UK.  We are looking to migrate from phpBB to SMF as one important issue for us is integration with Facebook.

We have set up a new forum using SMF 2.0.2 and are finding our way round it pretty well.  We need however some advice as to how the integration with Facebook works.

We have created our FB app but need to understand if anyone has any advice to make sure it works properly.

Our ideal is for posts made to threads on the SMF forum, are automatically posted to our Facebook Group too.

So far, we only seem to be able to get the threads shared to FB on our own wall and only if we 'recommend' it to FB.

Does anyone know how to make it 1) appear on a group rather than our own wall and 2) make all thread/posts appear on FB without having to 'recommend' it.

Also, can we make it work in reverse - i.e. threads/posts on Facebook - how do we get them to appear on the main SMF forum?

We have lots of old school folks on our forum who don't use FB and lots of new blood on our Facebook group who are not interested in posting on the forum so are trying to 'merge' the two so that we have one total group, using different tools.

HELP!

Thank you!

Thanks  - I had seen that already and it's useful.

We do have the app created from FB but we still don't seem to be able to get it link up to the FB group and only our personal walls with is not what we want, hence my questions.

Also we still want to know if posts/threads on FB can be back fed to SMF.

Thanks for the info, but my original questions still need some help please!

Thank you guys!

I don't do Facebook. So, I'm not gonna be much help, I'm afraid.

But, I took the diabolical liberty of changing the topic title, so that people see what it is that you're trying to do.

You might get the help you need a bit quicker, now. ;)

Roxwell:
Thanks for title change!
