2.0.2 forum list and board list background
tortoise21:
Hi everyone,
I have SMF 2.0.2 installed and am using the default theme. I want to change the white background color of the board/forum list to another color. Can someone please help me with this? Can I find the code in the index.css page?
I have read numerous posts where people are informed to go to their style.css page, but I cannot find this. If this is the key, can someone advise me on the path to get to style.css
The link to my forum is talktortoises.com
Would appreciate any help!!

Try
http://talktortoises.com/Themes/default/css/index.css
What you want is certainly in there :)

Thanks for your reply.
I tried altering the code in many different ways. Do you know where in particular I can modify the color?
Thanks

If you're using the latest Firefox you can right-click in the area you want and select "Inspect Element", which will show you the css settings for that part of the forum (and even which line in the file it's on!). The Firefox addon Firebug will also show that.
The good thing about "Inspect Element" is you can change the css "on screen" and see how it looks, before committing the change to the stylesheet file.
Why not have a play - you've only got 1 member on there 8)

Thanks for your suggestions. The inspect element is a very useful tool. When I changed the color, it changed most of the area that I wanted, but not all, leaving an open white area on the left side, as well as the far bottom.
